Rise in Las Vegas Valley homicides means police solving fewer cases

Las Vegas homicide detectives considered 80 percent of their cases cleared by the end of 2015. Though Metro is trailing now, Lt. Dan McGrath said he expects a clearance rate of 75 percent by the end of this year. Valleywide, 60 percent of homicides have been cleared.
