Golden Knights’ Neal, Fleury named to NHL All-Star Game

The NHL announced its All-Star Game rosters Wednesday and the Golden Knights will be represented by two veteran players. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury and forward James Neal were named to the 11-man Pacific Division squad. Fleury and Neal will be coached by Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant, who was named the Pacific Division coach last week. Both players will be making their third All-Star appearances. “It’s very exciting to be named to the All-Star team. I’m looking forward to representing our team in Tampa and share the All-Star experience with Marc-Andre and Coach Gallant. Having three representatives from the Golden Knights is a great honor.” Fleury was chosen despite having missed 25 games this season with a concussion. “I didn’t expect this because I haven’t played too many games this year,” said Fleury. “I’m excited because it’s always a nice honor to be a part of. I just feel like there’s so many great players around the league and they only pick a few. ” The NHL All-Star Game will be played Jan. 28 in Tampa, Florida.

A ‘Personality conflict’ is shaking up North Las Vegas City Hall. City Manager Qiong Liu is negotiating her resignation. It comes one day after she insisted on firing Assistant City Manager Ryann Juden amid long-simmering tensions. Mayor John Lee insisted Juden will not be fired. The dispute reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over how to fund infrastructure projects at the Apex Industrial Park. Liu said appointing Juden was “the biggest mistake that I have made over the past 4-plus years leading the executive team.”
