The Lights FC successful preseason opener had one major issue. Certain fans used a chant that has anti-homosexual connotations. The club is hoping to end its use immediately. The chant has a history of use in Mexican soccer but has been condemned by FIFA. Lights owner Brett Lashbrook: “Of course it’s not permitted. Of course it’s not tolerated.”

Shaun White Wins Gold at 2018 Winter Olympics The American snowboarding superstar took to the halfpipe on Wednesday and posted a 97.75 score in his final run, beating out 11 other competitors including three Americans. The incredible win even moved White to tears. Las Vegas Police and the Clark County Fire Department are investigating a suspected arson at 4330 W. Desert Inn Road.
A fire broke out around 3 a.m. Wednesday. Metropolitan police later arrived at the scene and taped off the area. Clark County fire investigators believe the fire was intentionally set. Check back at lvrj.com for more details.
Flynn the Bichon Frise Wins 2018 Best in Show at Westminster After days of strutting their stuff a winner has been named at the 142nd Westminster Dog Show. Earlier, Flynn won the Non-Sporting Group before turning heads and taking the title of top dog. Ty the giant schnauzer took second place with Reserve Best in Show. The 5 year old Flynn plans to retire after his Westminster win but not before a victory lap!
