Gastelum aims to bring ‘sparkle’ back to The Ultimate Fighter

A winner of The Ultimate Fighter’s 17th season, Kelvin Gastelum will return to coach the 28th and what may be the last season of the UFC’s flagship reality series against UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. Gastelum is expected to fight Whittaker for the belt in December at an event yet to be announced.

Timeline Leading Up to Scott Dozier’s Execution

Scott Dozier is set to be executed by lethal injection the night of July 11 at Ely State Prison. Dozier was convicted of the April 2002 killing of 22-year-old Jeremiah Miller and was given the death penalty in Oct. 2007. In 2016 Dozier asked in a letter to District Judge Jennifer Togliatti requesting that he “be put to death.”

Driver rams patrol car, is suspected of being impaired

Just before 5 a.m Monday, a driver of a sedan rear-ended a Las Vegas police squad car in the northeast valley. The driver fled and drove to Lamont Street, near Cheyenne Avenue, where he crashed into a pole and shrubs. Las Vegas police said the driver was hospitalized and taken into custody because he appeared to be impaired. The officer in the patrol car was not injured but was taken to a hospital per department policy.
