A school social worker arrested by Clark County School District police on suspicion of inappropriately touching two students at Chaparral High School has two prior domestic violence charges and a prior arrest for allegedly raping a person incapable of consent, according to police documents.
The Clark County School District on Thursday told about 200 students that they need to be tested for tuberculosis after a person at a western Las Vegas Valley high school was diagnosed with the disease.
The measure would require every school board and charter school to ensure that all licensed staff receive training, including warnings signs that a pupil may be suicidal and on how to refer students to the appropriate services.
A Hyde Park Middle School student threatened a group of students on social media Wednesday, CCSD police sergeant Bryan Zink said. The threat was later deemed not credible by police.
