Retired engineer loves the mechanics of his classic vehicles
Colin Christie’s Las Vegas home boasts two 13-foot RV garages, however, there are no recreational vehicles in sight.
Instead, his garage is home to five classic cars; a 1903 Cadillac, a 1917 Cadillac, a 1928 Cadillac Sedan, a 1938 Cadillac Series 75 Sedan and a 1979 Fleetwood Limo.
After Christie retired in 2001 following a 35-year career in engineering and manufacturing for General Mills in Minneapolis, he relocated to Las Vegas.
“I had always been interested in cars and always did my own repairs, but having a career and family means there’s not much time to collect cars,” he said. “I also lived mostly in snow country, which didn’t make it easy to collect cars.”
Christie added, “I’ve had an interest in cars all through my life, and because I have a degree in engineering, I’m really interested in mechanical things. Since Cadillac is the best made American car, I primarily focused
