It may seem like businesses come and go in the Las Vegas Valley, but that’s not always the case. In addition to the Review-Journal, which began operations in 1909, there have been several establishments that have weathered the storm and become staples in the area.
Although its showroom will still remain open, Walker Furniture recently announced that after almost 30 years, its eye-catching building along Interstate 15 will be demolished to make way for the Project Neon highway expansion.
Previously, we listed several restaurants in the valley that have stood the test of time. Now, in the wake of Walker Furniture’s announcement, we took a look at other businesses in town that have served the valley for several decades.
