Bally Technologies, a Las Vegas-based maker of slot machines and casino management systems, said it will acquire Sightilne Payments, a Las Vegas-based maker of cash advance kiosks and bill-breaking and ticket redemption machines, for an undisclosed price.
In a Thursday statement, Bally said Sightline Payments will remain in Las Vegas and Sightline Payments founder and CEO Kirk Sanford will stay with the company, as will Sightline Executive Vice President of Business Development Tom Sears and Sightline Executive Vice President of Sales Diran Kludjian.
The deal puts Bally in the payment-processing market. In a statement, Bally CEO Richard Haddrill said the deal comes as gaming systems continue to converge.
Sanford added, "Because of our shared vision of the future of payment services in gaming, we are on the verge of launching some very exciting cashless gaming products that we think can change the gaming payments industry in meaningful ways for our customers."
Bally shares fell 95 cents, or 2.42 percent, Friday to close at $38.28 on the New York Stock Exchange.
