Lovelock truck stop to add casino with 60 slot machines
A new truck stop on Interstate 80 in Lovelock is adding a casino with 60 slot machines and a NASCAR-themed sports bar.
Operators of the Sparks-based Baldini's Sports Casino have rented the space for the Big Wheel Casino inside the Golden Gate Petroleum truck stop about 90 miles northeast of Reno.
General Manager Eric Dale told the Reno Gazette-Journal the casino will employ 12 workers with more than 30 employees overall at the truck stop on the edge of Lovelock. He said he hired all of them locally at a recent job fair.
The Big Wheel will be only the second casino operating in the rural town of about 2,400.
