Wynn ‘dying’ to build hotel in Singapore

Steve Wynn has been successful in Las Vegas and Macau, but now the casino developer has set his sights on Singapore.

According to reports, Wynn, CEO of Las Vegas-based Wynn Resorts Ltd., is looking to build a hotel-casino in the growing market.

"I'm dying to go to Singapore," Wynn told Singapore's Business Times in an interview published Saturday. "That's the next goal in life ... to build a hotel in Singapore."

Wynn is already one of the dominant players in Macau, but would have to wait until March 2017 to open a property in Singapore because of an exclusivity period granted by the government to incumbent operators, Las Vegas Sands Corp. and Genting.
