Online news aggregator The Daily Beast ranks Las Vegas dead last in its latest list of America's smartest cities. The ranking of 55 major metropolitan cities is based on comparisons of educational and cultural investment factors, including the number of residents with college and graduate degrees, the number of libraries and universities per capita and the number of nonfiction book sales.
