Congressional subcommittee will come to North Las Vegas on Friday

A subcommittee chaired by U.S. Rep. Cresent Hardy, R-Nevada, is coming to Southern Nevada on Friday to talk about the effects of federal regulations on small businesses.

The House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations will have a hearing that starts at 2 p.m. Friday. The public event will be at North Las Vegas City Hall, Council Chambers, 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas.

The subcommittee will only hear testimony from industry representatives scheduled to testify. However, Hardy staff will be available to answer questions before and after the hearing.

Witnesses scheduled to testify are Spencer Hafen, president and chief executive officer of Nevada Bank and Trust Co.; David Jennings, a representative of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association; and Robin E. Simmers, chief executive officer of Pahranagat Valley Federal Credit Union in Alamo.
