Real-estate seminar will cover financing

The commercial real-estate certification program's 2007 series will cover commercial real estate financing in its next course, running 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors office, 1750 E. Sahara Ave.

The Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will present the course with the Southern Nevada chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.

Cost is $95 per course or $760 for the nine-course package. Call 895-4492 for information.

DW Enterprises, a Las Vegas developer of nightlife and entertainment venues and restaurants, named Rick Giffen executive chef.

Status Group, a business advisory service for small and midsized businesses, opened at 8920 W. Tropicana Ave., Suite 105 and named Brian Lerner president and Cynthia Homis executive vice president.
