Median asking price for local small businesses slips in quarter

The median asking price of a small business for sale in Las Vegas was $169,750 in the third quarter, based on 266 businesses listed on BizBuySell.com.
That's down from a median price of $200,000 a year ago, the online marketplace reported.
The businesses listed for sale in Las Vegas had a median revenue of $357,451, up from $350,000 at this same time last year. Median cash flow was $87,120 in the quarter, compared with $90,000 last year.
On average, business owners will typically ask for a revenue multiple of 0.76 and a cash-flow multiple of 2.59, according to BizBuySell.com.
Statistics are based on listing data, not on actual completed business sales. Listings in local data sets include businesses that are listed by local business brokers, as well as "for sale by owner" listings.
