PHOTOS: Every Dog Has its Day at the Office
A FEW GROUND RULES
■ Check with managers to make sure no one in the office is allergic to dogs.
■ Remove poisonous plants, hide electrical cords and lock up toxic materials such as permanent markers.
■ Bring food, bowls, treats, toys, a leash, paper towels and clean-up bags for accidents.
■ Don't force coworkers to interact with your dog.
■ The Association of Pet Dog Trainers recommends only bringing in pups who get along well with other dogs.
■ If your dog can't sit politely while he meets new people, leave him home.
■ Keep dog-to-dog interactions brief. Even friendly play can escalate if play styles don't match.
■ If things don't work out, be prepared to take your pup home before the day is over.
