It's pay raise time again at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
At their Tuesday meeting, the travel authority's directors approved salary increases for the authority's top two executives, Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the LVCVA, and Luke Puschnig, general counsel. The raises take effect July 1, which starts fiscal year 2013.
Ralenkotter will receive a 4 percent pay raise and a 30 percent pay-for-performance bonus. The raise brings Ralenkotter's annual base salary of $266,178 to $276,825. The 30 percent pay-for-performance incentive pulls the CEO's total pay up to $359,872 for fiscal 2013.
Puschnig gets a 4 percent pay raise and a 20 percent pay-for-performance bonus. Puschnig's bump in pay brings his annual base salary of $137,758 to $143,268. The 20 percent pay-for-performance pushes his total pay to $171,921 for fiscal 2013.
Clark County Commissioner and board Chairman Tom Collins presented the compensation committee's report from last month when the pay increases and pay-for-performance rates were decided.
On Tuesday, no board members questioned the report.
Other agenda items at the meeting were handled with equal speed. Approved items included a $7.2 million contract with Las Vegas Events from July 1 to June 2013, a $307,600 interlocal agreement with Clark County Public Works for an award contract for Lucchesi Galati to work on Convention Center Drive, and an extension of the interlocal agreement with Las Vegas police to fund a tourism intelligence analyst for five years at a fiscal 2013 cost of $116,000.
