Dad faces murder by child abuse charge in death of 3-year-old
A 26-year-old father faces a murder by child abuse charge in the death of his 3-year-old child, Las Vegas police said Friday.
Jonathan Quisano is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
Medical personnel contacted police shortly after transporting the severely injured child to University Medical Center after 6 p.m. Thursday. The child, who later died, was at a residence in the 4700 block of Trimwater Court, near Torrey Pines Drive and Lone Mountain Road.
Officers who went to the hospital summoned abuse and neglect detectives to assist in the investigation. After learning the injuries were extremely life threatening, homicide detectives also responded.
The name of the child and the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
