Henderson officials warn of Marshal Service phone scam

Henderson is telling the public not to give money to a man they say is running a scam by claiming to be a marshal with the city’s municipal court.

Police say residents have made at least two reports of a man calling home phone numbers and asking for fees to pay for failing to respond to a jury summons. But the marshal service does not collect fees over the phone, and Henderson does not summon juries for its cases.

If the marshal service does contact the public, according to the city, it is to serve a warrant or to direct them to the city’s website for fee payment.

Questions regarding this type of call can be directed to Henderson Marshal Service at: 702-267-3370
