Inmate dies at Northern Nevada Correctional Center
A prisoner serving time in a northern Nevada prison died on Sunday, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.
James Bessette, 63, died at Northern Nevada Correctional Center's medical facility, the department said Monday in a news release. He was sent to prison in 2012 for a coercion case out of Clark County.
It was his second time at the Carson City facility, NDOC said. In 2009 he paroled after serving time for sexual assault and auto theft. He was convicted in 1988.
Carson City officials are awaiting an autopsy to determine Bessette's cause of death.
