Zaon Collins spent 56 days in jail after pleading guilty to reckless driving and vehicular manslaughter. He was sued by the family of the man killed.
The lawsuit, filed by a man now accused of murder, stems from his allegation that police conducted a warrantless search of a pickup truck he was driving.
