Police looking for man in fatal North Las Vegas shooting

North Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help finding a man who is wanted for questioning in a fatal weekend shooting.

Police said George Benson, 29, was with a 27-year-old woman in the home of the 26-year-old man who was killed. The shooting followed a fight inside the residence. Witnesses told police they saw Benson and the woman flee the scene.

The woman was hospitalized later at University Medical Center in critical condition, and she’s still there.

Dispatch received calls about gunshots in the 500 block of Riding Crop Avenue just before 6 p.m. Friday. Officers arrived on scene and found the North Las Vegas man with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene, police said.

Benson is described as about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing about 300 pounds. Police said he has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of “A’s” under his right eye. Police also released a picture of Benson.
