Police: Man posed as undercover officer, assaulted victims

Las Vegas police are looking for victims of a man facing charges of sexual assault while pretending to be a undercover officer.

Johnny Levon Johnson, 29, was arrested July 31 after a woman reported she was a victim of robbery and sexual assault the day before, according to police.

She said the man told her he was an undercover police officer, police said.

In addition, police are investigating a July 13 incident in which Johnson had contact with another possible victim in a high-rise building on the 4500 block of Dean Martin Drive near Harmon Avenue.

Johnson may face eight charges of burglary, kidnapping, sexual assault, robbery and oppression under the color of office with threat of force.

These incidents remain under investigation. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim on Johnson is urged to call 828-3422 or to remain anonymous call 385-5555 or crimestoppersofnv.com.
