Six injured as car slams into real estate office

A two-door car smashed into an office building near Jones Boulevard and Sahara Avenue Tuesday morning resulting in six injuries, Las Vegas police said.

Spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said the incident occurred at 10:28 a.m. According to a Clark County spokesman, the vehicle crashed into the building a 2885 S. Jones Blvd., a Century 21 real estate office.

Meltzer said the driver, who she believed was a man, and four others were taken to the hospital. In addition, a sixth person, transported himself or herself to a hospital. The injuries were listed as "serious," but non-life threatening.

Meltzer said the driver was the only person in the car. The others who sustained injuries were believed to be adults.

The investigation was ongoing as of 2 p.m.
