Woman dies after being hit by vehicle on Boulder Highway
A woman died Thursday after being hit by a truck while crossing Boulder Highway, according to Las Vegas police.
Police responded to the incident at 3:02 p.m. Thursday. The woman was jaywalking across Boulder Highway, 418 feet north of Sandhill Road, when she was hit by a 2005 Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
The woman died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. Her identity will be released by the Clark County coroner's office after her family has been notified.
The northbound lanes of Boulder Highway were closed for hours while Metro's Accident Investigation Section detectives were on scene. This marks the 64th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction in 2015.
