One woman died after a fatal two-car crash in North Las Vegas Wednesday night.
The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. near Camino Al Norte and Edna Crane Avenue, North Las Vegas police said.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a maroon Cadillac sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed on northbound Camino Al Norte when it collided with a gold Toyota sedan that appeared to be making a U-turn from southbound Camino Al Norte.
The driver of the Toyota died at the scene, while the male passenger was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, Officer Chrissie Coon said.
The male driver of the Cadillac was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the passenger fled the scene on foot.
Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash, Coon said.
