Las Vegas police take 2 people into custody after finding 2 stolen vehicles

Las Vegas police took two people into custody in connection with two stolen vehicles in the northwest valley Tuesday morning.

Officers came in contact with two stolen vehicles at the intersection of Deer Springs Way and Grand Montecito Parkway about 8 a.m. A woman was taken taken into custody at the intersection, and a man fled the scene.

A perimeter was set up near the 8300 block of Deer Springs Way, near Cimarron Road.

The man who fled was taken into custody at 10:41 a.m., police said.

A police spokeswoman said canine units were called to the scene, and the Imagine School at Mountain View, 6610 Grand Montecito Parkway, was locked down.

Most Clark County schools are not in session today, but Imagine School is holding classes.
