Metro takes 3 into custody after they flee from stolen vehicle
Three people were taken into custody after fleeing from a stolen vehicle in the west valley Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the 5400 block of Candlespice Way for a report of possible shots fired about 1:30 a.m., Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
The resident who placed the call said the shots sounded like they were coming from the area of Mesa Park and Town Center drives. He also said he could see a vehicle, but it was too dark to give a description, Meltzer said.
When officers arrived, several people fled from a vehicle, which was reported stolen.
After officers set up a perimeter and a foot pursuit ensued, three people were taken into custody. No other details were immediately available.
