Two people were arrested for kidnapping and auto theft after a missing child was returned to her family on Saturday, according to North Las Vegas police.
Dennis Gentle, 23, and Samantha Cambell, 21, were arrested Saturday on one count each of first degree kidnapping and auto theft. They were booked into the Las Vegas Detention Center.
The 22-month-old child, Anastasia Barletta, was reported missing around 2:45 a.m. Saturday when officers responded to a call in the 4200 block of Oak Bay Way. Barletta’s mother, who was injured, told police that she had been attacked by two people who took her daughter and her car.
Police said the kidnappers later took Barletta to a home. A man staying at the house realized that there was an Amber alert out for Barletta and brought her to a North Las Vegas police station. She was returned to her family and appeared unharmed.
