Celebrate National Bubba’s Day at Barley’s

Well, here’s another holiday you probably haven’t heard about (like pretty much all of the rest of us): National Bubba’s Day, which is Sunday. There aren’t a whole lot of Bubbas in Southern Nevada, but there is one at Barley’s in Henderson, and he happens to be the brewmaster. So in honor of Bubba the Brewmaster and Bubbas everywhere, Barley’s will celebrate Sunday by offering 50 percent off Bubba’s IPA, 25 percent off all other Barley’s brews and $4.99 fish and chips, 12-inch pizzas, pot stickers and wings. The celebration will continue Monday through June 8 during happy hour, which is from 4 to 7 p.m. Barley’s is at 4500 E. Sunset Road in Henderson. ...

The Whiskey Attic at the Freakin’ Frog, 4700 S. Maryland Parkway, will have a saison (pale ale, to you and us) cask tasting at 7 p.m. Friday. The tasting, of the SqRt 225th anniversary Sour Historical Saison, is $40 per person; for reservations, call 702-597-3237. ...

Rhubarb will be the theme of the La Joie du Vin wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. June 7 at Andre’s at the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The next Project Dinner Table event is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 8 at TPC, with chefs from the Tao Group. It will benefit First Tee and the Shriner’s Hospital.
