CHUCK LORRE OPENS UP ABOUT CHARLIE SHEEN

In a new interview with TV Guide, Chuck Lorre says he had no choice but to shut down production on “Two and a Half Men” during then-star Charlie Sheen’s troubles, explaining, “You can’t do that much cocaine and work.”

“I didn’t want to be writing a sitcom while my friend died. Or worse, hurt someone else,” says Lorre.
