DJ CALVIN HARRIS TWEETS HE WAS ‘KICKED OFF’ DECKS AT TRYST
Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, a Wynn Las Vegas headliner, tweeted about 3 a.m. Saturday that he was "kicked off decks at Tryst for not playing Carly Rae Jepsen and hiphop." A Wynn source told Vegas Confidential that no one from Tryst or the hotel ordered Harris out of the booth or to stop playing. "We never tell artists what to play," said the source, adding that a heckler started jawing at Harris about an hour into the DJ's set. Harris earlier this year was to open for Katy Perry's UK leg of her tour but he backed out, citing issues with her management team. He collaborated with Rihanna on a big hit this year.
