DONNY’S BIG BIRTHDAY SURPRISE FOR WIFE DEBBIE

   Donny OsmondDonny Osmond is off to a fast start for Husband of the Year honors.

So much for roses and jewelry for your wife’s birthday.

Osmond surprised his wife Debbie on her 50th birthday Friday by bringing in 13 of her closest friends from all over the country, Vegas Confidential has learned.

“She hasn’t seen some of them in 35 years,” Osmond said after the Donny & Marie Show at the Flamingo.

He’s been working on the surprise since October, he said.

He sent his wife of 30 years on a shopping trip so he could sneak her friends into a room at the Flamingo. The plan was to have her walk into the room and be greeted by her friends.

Thanks, Donny, for raising the birthday bar to an impossibly high level.

Donny and Debbie were married May 8, 1978. They have five sons: Donald, 30; Jeremy, 27; Brandon, 24; Christopher, 18; and Joshua, 11.
