FACTS NOT CHECKING OUT IN BRITNEY FRENZY
A media frenzy surrounding Britney Spears’ reported headliner deal in Las Vegas is spinning out of control.
Some basic facts aren’t checking out.
Spears will not be performing at Caesars Palace any time soon, a source tells the Review-Journal.
Some of the reports have Spears heading for Caesars Palace, but the hotel’s 4,000-seat Colosseum is completely booked through 2014, according to the source.
The recent addition of Shania Twain means The Colosseum is “fully committed,” said the source. The Colosseum lineup includes Celine Dion, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Jerry Seinfeld.
The source added, “Some might think this is the way to start a bidding war, but Vegas doesn’t work like that anymore. It’s hard to get the bean counters in a frenzy.”
