It's one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in the FBI's history, and now after three decades there's a hot new lead.
In 1971, D.B. Cooper parachuted out of an airplane over the Pacific Northwest with $200,000 in ransom – and disappeared along with the money. The case has remained unsolved.
The FBI's new lead came from a member of law enforcement, according to CNN. The information includes an item that was sent to a lab in Quantico, Va., for testing.
