HERO SAVES HOMELESS MAN FROM SUBWAY TRACKS

A Queens man says he made a “split-second decision” to risk his own life to save another man who had fallen in the middle of the subway tracks. Victor Samuel, 43, of Forest Hills, balks at being called a hero for leaping down on the tracks at the Bowling Green station Thursday night and helping a dazed drifter to his feet and out of the way of an incoming 5 train.
