Clubs full of spinning DJs, birthday bashes

The Palms features a handful of hot nightclubs, including Moon, Ghostbar and Playboy Club.

But Monday, the Palms will add another venue to the mix — albeit just for the day — when Fortune presents “The Elevation Pool Party,” all part of the Vegas Alliance Music Experience.

A talented cast of DJs from across the country will generate an array of music for the partygoers, highlighted by a special performance from DJ Donald Glaude.

Also spinning at the event will be DJ Scotty Boy, DJ Nathan Scott, DJ Theron, DJ G Roy, DJ Sanjay and DJ Chris Devoy.

Love & Money opens today — A little less than two weeks and $5 million later, the space once occupied by OPM reopens today with a new name and look.

Love & Money celebrates its first night of business with a soft opening inside The Forum Shops at Caesars. The new venue has a fresh look, featuring black chandeliers and curtains.

The grand opening is scheduled for next weekend.

Jet hosting Mya’s birthday party — Music star Mya will be blowing out the candles tonight when she parties with her friends during her 29th birthday celebration at Jet.

Patrons should expect a performance from Mya as well. Doors open at 10:30 p.m. at The Mirage venue.

Nicky Hilton turns 24 at LAX — Nicky Hilton hosts the party tonight at LAX inside the Luxor as she celebrates her birthday.

Hilton, who probably will be joined by boyfriend David Katzenberg, “Beacher’s Madhouse” creator Jeff Beacher and perhaps sister Paris Hilton, has a keen interest in the Luxor. She’s an investor in Company American Bistro, a new restaurant slated to open in the coming weeks adjacent to LAX.

Ross ‘The Intern’ celebrates at Tao — You’ve seen him on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno and VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club.”

And if you were at Tao last weekend, there’s a good chance you saw Ross “The Intern” Mathews celebrate his 28th birthday with friends at The Venetian hot spot.

Mathews started his night with dinner at Tao Asian Bistro before moving the party upstairs, where he was surprised with a specially designed cupcake cake featuring a large lit sparkler on top.

Spelling shines at Pussycat Dolls lounge — Tori Spelling became the latest celebrity to host a night inside the Pussycat Dolls lounge Friday at Pure inside Caesars Palace.

The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star also used her performance to film scenes for her reality TV show, “Tori & Dean: Inn Love,” which appears on the Oxygen network.

Jeremy Pond covers nightclubs for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Vegas Confidential. His column appears Fridays in Neon and online at reviewjournal.com and www.normclarke.com. He can be reached at 383-0298 or via e-mail at jpond@reviewjournal.com.

In the Las Vegas Valley, the chances of getting a white Christmas are slim. But this year, you can have a “Knight” Christmas. A Henderson resident has a Christmas lights display that is synchronized to the entrance music for the Golden Knights. GG Misa’s Knights light show is played every 30 minutes from 5 to 10 nightly. His light show consists of two songs: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and the entrance music, “Le Castle Vania,” from the movie “John Wick.” The display is located at 730 Bollons Island St. (Richard Brian/Las Vegas Reivew-Journal)
