‘Cupid Is Stupid’ party a V-Day alternative

Hate the day sweethearts across the country adore?

Well, head to 4949 Lounge inside Santa Fe Station on Thursday for the "Cupid Is Stupid" party. The event, which starts at 9 p.m., has all sorts of anti-Valentine's Day things planned for those who absolutely despise one of the greeting card industry's favorite days of the year.

You can even set your former flame ablaze (not literally) at the party if you'd like. Any patron who brings a picture of their ex and places it in the "burn box" gets a free drink.

There will be free tarot card readings and drink specials for guests. Miss Joy -- arguably one of the finest to grace the turntables in the city -- provides the sounds.

Reality star 'New York' fights beau at Privé -- Tiffany Pollard, better known as "New York" on the VH1 reality show "I Love New York," got into a lovers' quarrel Feb. 1 at Privé inside the Planet Hollywood Resort.

Pollard jumped ugly with her beau, Tailor Made, whom she selected as the winner of the show's second season. After slapping her fiancé, Pollard proceeded to drench him with champagne. Moments after the outburst, Pollard drastically changed her tune and pleaded for forgiveness after following him to the bathroom as he attempted to clean himself up.

Danity Kane singer celebrates birthday at Pure -- Aubrey O'Day of the music group Danity Kane hosts her 24th birthday party tonight at Pure inside Caesars Palace. DJ AM will be on the turntables.

Paris brings clothing line party to LAX -- She's back. And it's almost like Paris Hilton never left.

The socialite, who seems to have made Las Vegas her second home, returns Wednesday as she celebrates the introduction of her fall 2008 clothing collection at LAX inside the Luxor.

Casting calls set for pool hot spots -- It's only February, but it's time to start thinking about summer fun as pool party spots have scheduled casting calls for employment.

The Hard Rock Hotel will host an open casting for all positions Saturday for "Rehab," the resort's ever-popular weekly Sunday event. The casting, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will take place inside the hotel's Body English.

Supermodel May Anderson hosted the evening's festivities Saturday at Privé with UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, who reportedly was offered $2,000 for his necklace by a patron in the men's bathroom.

Jay-Z and Kanye West hung out in Jay-Z's private suite Saturday at 40/40 Club (Palazzo) before moving the party to a skybox.
