‘Cupid Is Stupid’ party a V-Day alternative

Hate the day sweethearts across the country adore?

Well, head to 4949 Lounge inside Santa Fe Station on Thursday for the “Cupid Is Stupid” party. The event, which starts at 9 p.m., has all sorts of anti-Valentine’s Day things planned for those who absolutely despise one of the greeting card industry’s favorite days of the year.

You can even set your former flame ablaze (not literally) at the party if you’d like. Any patron who brings a picture of their ex and places it in the “burn box” gets a free drink.

There will be free tarot card readings and drink specials for guests. Miss Joy — arguably one of the finest to grace the turntables in the city — provides the sounds.

Reality star ‘New York’ fights beau at Privé — Tiffany Pollard, better known as “New York” on the VH1 reality show “I Love New York,” got into a lovers’ quarrel Feb. 1 at Privé inside the Planet Hollywood Resort.

Moments after the outburst, Pollard drastically changed her tune and pleaded for forgiveness after following him to the bathroom as he attempted to clean himself up.

Down on the Strip, Bare Pool Lounge hosts its casting Monday poolside at The Mirage venue. Applicants should stop by between noon and 5 p.m. at Bare. For more information, log on at www.barepool.com.
