The Spicy Pickle, a gourmet sandwich shop that has opened its second Las Vegas location, specializes in fresh baked breads and a choice of eight cheeses, 22 toppings and 14 spreads. And a spicy pickle is served with everything.
It’s pear season, with the autumn-hued beauties ready to be eaten out of hand or turned into breads, desserts, salads or entrees. Gilcrease Orchard, in the northwest part of the valley, is even turning them into cider.
