Main Street Station offering a free Prius

On July 26, Main Street Station will give away a 2008 Toyota Prius Hybrid (48 mpg!). Second prize will be round-trip airfare for two to Hawaii, plus there will be two $500 and 10 $100 cash prizes. Players Gold members receive five tickets for every 100 points ($100 coin-in) earned. Tickets also can be earned at the tables for every hour played with a $10 average bet. Players must be at the 7 p.m. drawing to win.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in July, the Palms is offering special gifts to players earning 100 to 750 same day points ($100-$750 coin-in; no point redemption required) on slots and 200 to 1,500 points ($400-$3,000 coin-in; some machines excluded) on video poker. Points must be earned from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. to qualify.

From Monday through July 24, Hard Rock Hotel players will receive a $50 Macy's gift card or $50 free play for every 8,000 points ($8,000 coin-in on reels, $16,000-$48,000 on video poker; no point redemption required) earned on their Rockstar cards.

The Tropicana has introduced a daily swipe-your-card promotion. After swiping your Winners Club card (limit one swipe per day), players pick five out of 24 squares. Those revealing two or more palm trees receive a prize; anyone finding five palm trees gets $100,000.

On Aug. 23, the El Cortez will have a special $25,000 Cash is King drawing with 33 players winning $500 to $5,000. Jackie Club members receive one entry for every 5,000 points ($5,000-$15,000 coin-in) earned during July. All prizes will be awarded in cash, and players must be present at the 3 p.m. drawing to win.

There is a new poker room at the Stratosphere, right next to Roxy's Dinner. It is open 24/7 and offers daily no-limit tournaments and free poker lessons.

Rampart players earning 300 same-day points ($600-$1,200 coin-in; no point redemption required) on Saturday will receive a food ionizer; those earning 300 points Monday through Wednesday will get a soap dispenser. The same gifts can be picked up at the Cannery by earning 299 points ($299 coin-in) on Saturday (food ionizer) or Tuesday (soap dispenser). On Thursday, Cannery players will receive an electric can opener or a set of food storage containers after earning 400 points.
