The List: Latest DVDs, CDs, books, December 11

A look at some of the DVDs, CDs and books hitting stores this week:

DVDs

"Ted" (R): A childhood wish made a teddy bear come to life, and now that bear is a foul-mouthed menace (voiced by writer-director Seth MacFarlane) coming between its best friend (Mark Wahlberg) and his girlfriend (Mila Kunis) in this very adult comedy.

Elsewhere, it turns out Jason Bourne wasn't unique after all, as a similar secret agent (Jeremy Renner) runs amok in the spinoff "The Bourne Legacy" (PG-13). And when the continents start breaking apart, Manny (voiced by Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary), Sid (John Leguizamo) and Scrat (Chris Wedge) are set adrift on an iceberg in "Ice Age: Continental Drift" (PG).

Topping today's TV transfers: "Girls: The Complete First Season," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent: Year Nine," "Futurama: Volume Seven," "Gunsmoke: The Seventh Season, Volume One" and "Hazel: The Complete Fourth Season."

CDs

The Game, "Jesus Piece": Since his stage name is The Game, let's use an obvious sports metaphor to encapsulate the rapper's latest release and call it an all-star squad of the highest order.

Featuring guest spots from Kanye West, Common, Chris Brown, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross and Jamie Foxx, "Jesus Piece" will have hip-hop heads exclaiming, "Holy schnikes!"

Also in stores: Steve Aoki, "It's the End of the World As We Know It"; Big Boi, "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors"; Boys Like Girls, "Crazy World"; Green Day, "¡Tre!"; The Legendary Pink Dots, "Chemical Playschool 15"; Lifehouse, "Almeria"; Bruno Mars, "Unorthodox Jukebox"; and Plies, "You Need People Like Me Mixtape."

"Two Graves" by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child: FBI Special Agent Aloysius Pendergast reunites with his wife, Helen, who he thought died more than a decade before, only to lose her again after she is kidnapped.
