Party to honor queens of nightclub scene

Want to meet the ladies who make the nightlife scene what is around Las Vegas?

Well, you'll get the chance Tuesday when 37 women are feted with a party honoring their impact on the nightclub circuit at Blush Boutique Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas.

The event, dubbed the "Queen of Clubs" party, begins at 9 p.m., with table reservations strongly recommended.

One name that stuck out on the list was Katie Rees, the dethroned Miss Nevada USA winner who recently was arrested/jailed after a run-in with Las Vegas police.

Federline to celebrate birthday at Pure -- Kevin Federline gets a chance to leave his troubles with ex-wife/former pop princess Britney Spears behind tonight when he hosts his 30th birthday bash at Pure inside Caesars Palace.

Federline hosted the 2007 New Year's Eve party at Tangerine, which closed down at the start of 2008 to undergo a redesign. It's scheduled to reopen later this year at Treasure Island.

'American Pie' star coming to Vegas -- Actress Tara Reid will host the evening's festivities Saturday at Studio 54 inside MGM Grand.

Reid has been seen in gossip columns more than movie theaters since starring in the raunchy comedy classic "American Pie."

Hawaiian Tropic Zone hosting events -- Hawaiian Tropic Zone teams up with Syrup Swimwear as they begin their calendar model search tonight at the new venue located inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.

There will be $1,500 in weekly prizes, with a grand prize of $25,000 to be awarded at the end of the competition later this year.

On Saturday, Playboy Playmate Tamara Witmer hosts her birthday party at the venue. Witmer starred on the first season of the VH1 reality show "Rock of Love." She also has been featured as one of the models on NBC's "Deal or No Deal."

Bridget of 'Girls Next Door' hits Playboy Club -- Lovers of the TV show "Girls Next Door" got their chance to get close to one of the stars of the show Sunday as Bridget Marquardt hosted the party at the Playboy Club inside the Palms.

Playboy Playmates Jordan Monroe (Miss October 2006) and Hiromi Oshima (Miss June 2004) joined Marquardt at the party.

Bow Wow rings in 21st birthday at Jet -- Rapper Bow Wow celebrated his "coming of age" Saturday, with a star-studded lineup joining him at Jet inside The Mirage.

Rap legend Snoop Dogg showed up for the party, as well as music producer Jermaine Dupri, Melody Thornton of The Pussycat Dolls and rapper/producer Swizz Beatz.

Sightings of the weekend -- Olympic snowboarding champion Shaun White dropped by the Playboy Club and Moon (Palms) on Saturday. White lost $20 gambling at the Playboy Club, which was just a tiny amount compared to the $15,000 he and his friends lost playing at The Mint -- a high-stakes lounge at the Palms -- earlier in the evening.

At LAX (Luxor) on Saturday: comedian/talk show host Bill Maher, Tampa Bay Buccaneers standout Ronde Barber and drummer John Dolymayan of System of a Down.

Boxer Erik Morales was spotted at Pure on Saturday.

DJ Jazzy Jeff hosted the festivities March 14 at Privé (Planet Hollywood Resort). Also at Privé: boxer Winky Wright, former Pittsburgh Steelers teammates Jerome Bettis and Kordell Stewart, poker star Phil Ivey and Miss Nevada 2006 Helen Salas.

Actors Laurence Fishburne and Jim Sturgess checked out the Playboy Club on March 14.

Domenico Nesci of MTV's "That's Amore!" hosted the evening March 14 at Jet.
