Puff Lounge opens with marathon party

Las Vegas' nightlife scene welcomes another member to its growing fraternity tonight as Puff Lounge opens its doors.

Located at 1030 E. Flamingo Road, Puff will kick things off with "Puff-A-Palooza," a 36-hour marathon of partying and entertainment. The event begins at 5 p.m. today and runs until 5 a.m. Sunday.

"Puff-A-Palooza" will feature some of the city's best DJs, including Faarsheed, Chris Garcia, Oscar Molina and Thom Svast.

Some of the live performers will include belly dancers, fire handlers, aerial acrobats, magicians and break dancers.

Puff, which will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, also doubles as a restaurant, featuring tapas cuisine. The venue also has a party patio, specialty hookah, VIP lounges and a smoking bar with gaming.

"Our intention is to invigorate guests with pleasures of drinking, dining, dancing and live entertainment and exciting nightlife," said Karan Hoss, who owns Puff Inc. with Abdi Nasr. "We are paying close attention to every detail and providing plush seating, live entertainment, top-notch DJs, intimate dance floors and a killer sound and light system, as well as private VIP areas offering first-class bottle service."

Illusionist Angel hosting event at LAX -- Criss Angel, the star of the TV show "Mindfreak," hosts the evening's festivities tonight at LAX inside the Luxor.

Angel's party is happening the same night as girlfriend Veronica Grabowski, the reigning Miss Nevada USA, competes for the crown at the Miss USA 2008 pageant inside the Planet Hollywood Resort.

No word on whether Grabowski will be joining Angel.

Weekly CatHouse party back in action -- After closing down to fix some structural problems, the CatHouse inside the Luxor has restarted its "Madame Mondays" event.

The party recognizes some of Vegas' elite.

Rocker Weiland to host at Privé -- Singer Scott Weiland of the reunited rock group Stone Temple Pilots hosts the party Saturday at Privé inside the Planet Hollywood Resort.

Weiland recently made news when he parted ways with the group Velvet Revolver.

Singer Josh Groban and drummer Ronnie Vannucci of The Killers checked out The Bank (Bellagio) on Saturday.

Playboy model Laura Davis hosted her second consecutive party Saturday at LAX (Luxor).

Playboy Playmates Amanda Paige, Hiromi Oshima, Jordan Monroe and Michelle McLaughlin were spotted at Playboy Club (Palms) and Moon (Palms) on Saturday.
