Six Picks: Ray Price, Snow Patrol, ice cream, water film, Avicii, Bubbles & Brunch

Ray Price

At 86, Ray Price has to be working on some kind of record with his annual stops at Boulder Station. Even after battling colon cancer a couple of years ago, Price can "Make the World Go Away" with his sturdy country-politan voice. He sings at 8 p.m. today at Boulder Station, 411 Boulder Highway. Tickets are $22-$48; call 800-745-3000.

Snow Patrol

Emotive Irish rockers Snow Patrol just want to give everybody a big bear hug, maybe have a little cry and discuss past episodes of "Grey's Anatomy." Not sure if the purchase of one of their concert tickets comes with a box of tissues, but it probably should. Get ready to dry those eyes at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $35; call 698-7000.

Ice cream fest

I scream, you scream, but if everybody's screaming for ice cream, head for the Springs Preserve's annual Ice Cream Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The festival also features carnival games, a bubble play station and other attractions. Admission at the gate is $8 for adults, $5 for kids 5-12, but advance tickets are recommended, and those are $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for kids 5-12. Go to www.SpringsPreserve.org or the preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd.

'Last Call'

Most made-in-Vegas movies fit into the "What happens here ... " mold. But the documentary "Last Call at the Oasis" depicts a different side of Vegas: the parched side. Focusing on the global water crisis, the documentary (which opens today) includes a segment about Las Vegas - and Lake Mead's decreasing water level. Among the experts interviewed: Pat Mulroy, Southern Nevada Water Authority chief.

Bubbles & Brunch

Bubbles & Brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday at the Overlook Grill at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Roving servers bring by small plates from a rotating menu that includes such dishes as slow-cooked bistro steak with truffle potato puree or char siu pork ribs, or Guinness Chocolate Lollicakes or Boozy Push-Pops. It's $40 per person, with Champagne bottle service starting at $95 per bottle.

Avicii

Revered DJ-producer Avicii headlines Saturday at Marquee Dayclub in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, along with DJ-producer Glenn Morrison. If you can't make it to the Avicii/Morrison daytime gig at the salacious pool, you can catch them Saturday night, when they perform inside Marquee nightclub.
