Vegas Loves Brazil to feature food and drink specials at Rio

The Vegas Loves Brazil Brazilian Day Festival from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, will include Brazilian food and drink booths (including caipirinha bars), more than 100 Brazilian artists, live entertainment, free workshops, carnival rides and a kids’ area. The dinners, which will continue weekly through June 30, will offer rotating burger specials paired with a signature cocktail or two beers for $19. Oysters, shucked tableside, will be $1.25 each. …

And Buddy V’s serves Buddy’s Family Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sundays. The buffet-style brunch includes such dishes as chicken rigatoni, panettone French toast and crespelle with Nutella and has a chilled station, carving station and charcuterie and cheese platters. It’s $32.95, $14.95 for kids younger than 10. …

Poppy Den Asian Bistro at Tivoli Village, 440 S. Rampart Blvd., serves brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekends, with a menu of such dishes as pancakes with berries ($11), salt-and-pepper-grilled steak and eggs ($15), eggs with bacon or sausage ($8) and a Poppy Burger with french fries ($13). …

Sprinkles Cupcakes has opened at The Linq, 3435 Las Vegas Blvd. South. An offshoot of the Beverly Hills original, it offers more than 50 flavors of cupcakes — and the famous Sprinkles cupcake ATM — and slow-churned ice cream.
