Longtime Las Vegas residents right-size with new home at One Las Vegas

Rex and Janine Verley have a long history in Las Vegas. The city has been their home for 26 years, and it’s where they raised seven children. Now, the near empty-nesters have only one child still at home and decided it was their time. Their next move? Purchasing a condominium at One Las Vegas, the twin-tower high-rise community on the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard.

“It’s time to free ourselves from the maintenance of a single-family home,” Rex said. “After exploring several high-rises, including those on the Strip, we knew as soon as we walked into One Las Vegas we had found our new home.”

The Verleys are especially impressed with One Las Vegas’ modern design and the warm staff that greets them every time they walk into the lobby.

Their home features granite countertops, hardwood floors, upgraded appliances and, best of all, a balcony with panoramic views that stretch from Southern Highlands to Sunrise Mountain.

They also appreciate the sense of security they have in their new home, because One Las Vegas is a controlled-access community with 24/7 security guards and a guard-gated parking garage for residents and guests, an amenity not always offered at other valley high-rises.

The Verleys own NextGen Integrated Solutions, a company that offers alarm-system services, which is now just a short commute from One Las Vegas. The couple’s youngest daughter, Taytem, has settled in nicely at her new school, also just a short drive from home.

“I grew up in small-town Wyoming, in a city that was home to fewer than 2,000 people,” Rex said. “Much of my family still lives in Wyoming, so when they ask about our new home, I love telling them I actually live on ‘Las Vegas Boulevard.’ And when we want to travel to visit our kids, McCarran (International) Airport is less than 10 minutes away.”

Homes at One Las Vegas range from 831 to 2,857 square feet, with many floor plans offering views of the mountains and the Strip. One-bedroom homes are priced from the low $200,000s; two-bedroom homes from the high $200,000s; and three-bedroom homes from the low $400,000s.

The penthouse, which offers 3,000 square feet of sweeping views, is priced at $1.1 million.

One Las Vegas is also Veteran Affairs home loan-approved and offers mortgages with as little as 10 percent down.

One Las Vegas is close to Interstate 15 and the 215 Beltway, and is just minutes from McCarran International Airport.

Town Square, located just a few blocks north of the property, provides one-stop shopping, and scores of dining and entertainment options right in the neighborhood.

For more information, visit the One Las Vegas on-site sales center at 8255 Las Vegas Boulevard South, or online at theonelv.com or call 702-405-9020.

The sales center is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
