Shea Homes at Ardiente to host April events

Shea Homes at Ardiente is an age-qualified community in the Las Vegas Valley for adults 55 and older. It’s known for resident activities and resort-style amenities.

It plans to host The Good Life Festival this weekend, April 23 and 24. Saturday’s events will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday’s activities will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The festival will include food, music, games and new-model tours. The Good Life Festival will require the purchase of a ticket unless guests contact Ardiente ahead of time. For those who RSVP, Shea Homes will purchase guest tickets on their behalf for Saturday or Sunday activities.

A Cinco de Mayo celebration will be held April 30.

■ Saturday — Attendees can partake in the prelims of bocce ball and bean bag toss tournaments, an introduction to line dancing class, as well as carnival games with raffle ticket prizes. Festival guests will also have the opportunity to relax with a free chair massage, enjoy a comedy magic show, listen to musical performances from Mama’s Wranglers and indulge in a delicious lunch from Famous Dave’s.

■ Sunday — Many attendees will participate in the Community Charity Walk to support the fight against Alzheimer’s, followed by a waffle bar breakfast. Guests will have another opportunity to receive a free chair massage, enjoy tournament finals, listen to an inspirational presentation by Maurice Talley, enjoy a beer tasting, nacho bar and watch a live performance from a Johnny Cash tribute band.

■ April 30 from noon to 3 p.m., the public is also invited to Ardiente’s Cinco de Mayo celebration. For new homebuyers, this is a chance to mingle with current residents while enjoying a taco bar and margaritas.

“These events are the perfect way to see what life at Ardiente is all about,” said Kyle Tibbitts, general manager. “Our homeowners say they never knew how nice it was going to be to have a whole world of activity right outside their front door.”

At The Good Life Festival, homebuyers will also have the opportunity to see the brand new Refresh outdoor-centric model home during its official grand opening Saturday. At 1,881 square feet, the Refresh is part of the popular Portofino collection, and it features two luxurious bedrooms, two spa-like baths, den and a two-car garage. Pricing on starts in the high $200,000s.

“As an outdoor-centric plan, this home offers indoor/outdoor living at its finest. When you live in the beautiful desert, it’s important that you have a home that allows you to take in that beauty wherever you are,” Tibbitts said.
