Las Vegas luxury apartment development, Constellation, to open in fall

Construction is progressing on Constellation, the first residential development in the Downtown Summerlin area now underway northeast of the 106-acre fashion, dining and entertainment destination in the heart of the community.

According to Eric Cohen, managing director of The Calida Group, Constellation's joint venture developer with The Howard Hughes Corp., framing of the 124-unit, gated rental luxury development is visible with completion scheduled for late 2015.

"We already have hundreds on our interest list," said Cohen of the demand for high-end rental living in Las Vegas. "Constellation's Downtown Summerlin location is especially appealing and exciting for a wide range of people — from young professionals to empty-nesters and retirees — all seeking a carefree and active lifestyle just steps from some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment in Southern Nevada."

Located at the northeast corner of the Downtown Summerlin area at the intersection of Town Center Drive and Griffith Peak, the three-story, 170,000-square-foot multifamily development features spacious one- and two- bedroom homes designed in one- or two-story floor plans from 940 to 1,900 square feet.

Constellation homes offer lofts, dry bars, walk-in closets, patios and decks. Third-floor homes include 18-foot ceilings with a private walk-up to a mezzanine level and a fourth-story rooftop deck. Some residences include attached garages. Design elements include premium hardwood cabinetry, ultra-quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and home automation connecting thermostats, a security camera and alarm to smart devices.

Exclusive resident amenities include two clubhouses, Wi-Fi throughout, state-of-the-art fitness center, club room with bar, game lounge, spa with tanning services, and resort-style pool with an outdoor barbecue area and cabanas.

"Constellation isn't just an apartment complex, it's a way of life," Cohen said. "Just as The Howard Hughes Corp. has designed Summerlin to deliver a quality of life second to none in Southern Nevada, we designed Constellation with gathering spaces that help foster social interactions with neighbors, as well as luxury amenities that enhance enjoyment in upscale, urban living."

Rental rates for Constellation are projected to be at the top of the market and have not yet been released. For more information about Constellation, visit thecalidagroup.com. For more information about Downtown Summerlin, visit Summerlin.com.
