Best of Las Vegas tip: Pass the popcorn and turn off the cell phone

For a little cool comfort on a weekend day, you can't beat a movie theater. So follow our readers to Rave Motion Pictures, their choice in the 2011 Best of Las Vegas poll.

Carol Cling's look at 3-D features in today's Review-Journal tells us you're willing to shell out a little extra for a special movie, and Rave has plenty of seating for this summer's blockbusters. But just in case it's crowded, take our readers' second pick and head over to Regal Red Rock Stadium.

As for us, we'll be pocketing that 3-D charge and going to Cinedome 12 Henderson. Tickets are always a great buy there. Call us two-dimensional, just don't cut in the popcorn line.

And if you've got a favorite theater we haven't mentioned, you'll probably find a movie worth seeing when you peruse our calendar. Search by title, or just click the movies tab and look at shows at all the theaters in town.

For more suggestions on things to do, places to eat and where to go, visit the Best of Las Vegas website.
