Brain Teaser

We're suckers for a good puzzle. And the ISIS, an import from the United Kingdom, sounds like a doozy.

Billed as "the most difficult puzzle ever," the aluminum alloy ISIS orb -- each is unique, with its own unique solution -- features a set of hieroglyphics on its moveable bands.

Register your ISIS on the puzzle's Web site and you'll receive 10 encrypted clues. Decipher those clues, position the bands on the orb correctly, and you'll unlock your ISIS.

But the fun's not over yet. Inside the orb you'll find a 10-digit number. Go back to the ISIS Web site and access the Award Zone, where you'll answer riddles for a chance to earn prizes ranging from $1,000 in cash to a $2,000 massage chair, as well as clues to what the manufacturer calls "a treasure hunt for valuables hidden in major cities across America."

The ISIS retails for $199.95 -- note that all sales are final -- at The Sharper Image,

which has stores at the Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South; the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort, 3663 Las Vegas Blvd. South; Crossroads Commons, 8885 W. Charleston Blvd.; The Galleria at Sunset mall, 1300 W. Sunset Road, Henderson; and The District at Green Valley Ranch, 2225 Village Walk Drive, Henderson. It's also available online (www.sharperimage.com).
