Facebook's Live video feature will now be available on all iPhones in the U.S., and will be available to the rest of the world within the coming weeks.
According to Facebook, "it has been inspiring to see all the ways that people have used Live to connect with their friends and family" since the feature first debuted in December.
Utilizing the Live video feature allows users to watch live videos from their friends or public figures they follow in their News Feed. While watching the video, users can hit the "subscribe" button to receive a notification the next time that user goes "live."
To share your own live video, select update status and then choose the "Live Video" icon. From there, before going live, you can write a description and select the audience that you want to share your live video with.
During your live broadcast, you will see the number of viewers tune in, the names of those viewers and a real-time stream of comments.
According to Facebook, once you decide to end the live broadcast, the video will be saved on your Timeline like any other video, which you can then delete or save for later.
